J.C. REED
Jordan is a passionate young girl who loves to learn, read, write, cook, and play piano. Jordan successfully wrote and published her first book, The Talk I Never Had for girls, at the age of 10. She has spoken at various events to young girls and moms about the importance of knowing who they are and how valuable they are to Christ. She loves to share and encourage young girls to know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made for a purpose.
Writing. My first book! The Talk I Never Had for girls is a look into the life of a pre-teen girl named Jordan. Within this book, Jordan shares her diary and thoughts as her body begins a metamorphosis right before her eyes. She is not afraid to ask God those hard, confusing questions about His creation and her body. Jordan shares relatable, encouraging and empowering stories of embracing your body as the valuable treasure it is. She will inspire each girl to write her own hygiene plan, create a HelloFlo calendar and develop a life verse. Through conversations with her mom, Jordan learns the proper anatomical names of her body parts, the stages of puberty to adulthood and, most of all, that the Creator of all things created her and her body for a divine purpose. Jordan embraces the truth that she is fearfully and wonderfully made. The Talk I Never Had is meant to encourage young girls (ages 8-13) and mothers to have “the talk.”

“DREAMER”
YES!!! I AM A DREAMER.

What is my biggest DREAM?
My biggest dream is to be a SCIENTIST! I want to work at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. I know one day I will be apart of a team who will develop a cure for rare forms of childhood cancers.
Where did my dream come from?
My big dream began in 2013, my family was in a couples small group at our church with other families that had kids my age. One family, the Coleman’s, had a baby boy named Bennett. In one day our entire family life changed, he went to the ER and found out that he had cancer. Within a week, the Coleman’s were at St. Jude’s. I got to see pictures of St. Jude’s and everything they did for our friends and family. I prayed so hard for God to heal baby Bennett, I even sang songs to God. My family prayed together everyday for Bennett. I made a sign and sat in my driveway asking others to pray for him. Well, a few months later my mom told me that we didn’t need to pray for him anymore. She told me that God answered our prayers and healed him but it didn’t occur on this side of Heaven. I was deeply saddened but we knew… Heaven was where he went.
I knew in that moment I was going to make a cure for rare disease and I knew I was going to work at St. Jude’s Hospital. From that day on I have been pursuing my dream. My dream is not to “Big” for my God.
That is my big DREAM what is yours?
